Physical Therapist, CHT, COMT
I’ve always been somewhat health and fitness oriented, so my interest was piqued when I met friends in college who were pursuing a degree in Physical Therapy. Being able to combine my interest in fitness with my passion for helping people made Physical Therapy a natural fit for me. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin.
After gaining a wide range of experience in the orthopedic setting, I began to specialize in
the treatment of the hand and upper extremity and earned my Certification in Hand Therapy (CHT). I also hold a Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy (COMT) and am an instructor for the International Academy of Orthopedic Medicine.
I enjoy getting to know each of my patients individually and learn about their lives and interests. I aim to be realistic and informative while educating my patients on how they can achieve success in their training and recovery. I focus on maximizing function based on each person’s unique situation and recognizing the necessity of close communication with referring providers to optimize care for my patients.
I have been practicing since 1996 and moved to continue my Physical Therapy career in Central Oregon in 2009. I feel very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place where I can enjoy all sorts of activities year-round. I’m an avid distance runner, having completed 13 marathons, three of those being the Boston Marathon. I also enjoy cycling, yoga, Nordic skiing, snowshoeing, and backpacking.
