Years ago, I spent time watching a physical therapist work with my dad to assist in his recovery after an accident. Seeing how the therapist was able to help my father made me realize I wanted to help people, too. So, since graduating in England, in 1987, I’ve been helping people regain their health as a physical therapist. Southside Physical therapy has been my clinic of choice after moving to Bend in 1998.
I love the constant challenge of finding the cause of pain and working to resolve it. Watching patients have less pain and gain improvement in function, leading to greater quality of life is truly rewarding. I am fortunate to work with great people who always put in the extra effort to make sure our patients receive our undivided attention and that our clinic runs smoothly.
I am married to Morag and owned by Manchester Terriers. We are very active in the Mount Bachelor Kennel club and I have been the Show Chairman for the past 9 years. You can find us working in the yard and on house projects in our free time.
I feel it is important for us all to attend continuing education courses to stay current on the latest techniques and keep improving our professional abilities, so attend multiple hands-on seminars throughout the year with a continued focus on manual therapy.
