Physical Therapist, DPT, CSCS
Originally from Carlsbad, California, I grew up surfing the beaches of San Diego with my younger brother and parents. Playing many sports throughout my life, I always enjoy challenging my body with new and different activities.
Wanting a career that combined my love of physical activity, aptitude for science, and my fascination with the human body and biology, I became a
physical therapist. As a PT, I have the pleasure of providing one-on-one, individualized healthcare that helps decrease pain, improve movement, and get people back to doing what they love with confidence.
I earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from A.T. Still University after I received a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from California State University San Marcos. My passion for sports inspired me to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
While working with the Arizona Diamondbacks during my clinical rotation, I grew my knowledge of treatment for overhead athletes as well as skills for training advanced athletes. I learned the importance of taking a proactive approach by using preventive PT, also known as Prehab. This practice uses sports-specific exercises to create total body balance, which allows for improved performance and injury avoidance.
Though I take a special interest in training athletes of all skill level, I very much enjoy working with a variety of patients treating issues such as joint pain, upper extremity pain, balance deficits, post-op rehabilitation, and many other conditions. Whether I’m guiding someone to recovery after an injury or helping an athlete reach peak performance, I take great pride in being able to show my patients the potential their bodies have with the right manual therapy guidance and therapeutic exercise interventions.
I’m excited to join Southside Physical Therapy and work alongside an impressive roster of therapists. I look forward to helping my patients achieve their goals in an environment that supports my philosophy of care and my pursuit of continued education.
When I’m not working, I enjoy hiking, weight lifting, surfing, golfing, snowboarding and sampling the craft beer scene in Central Oregon. I moved to Bend for its quiet, laid back community and active outdoor lifestyle. If you’ve got recommendations for a hike, sport, or adventure I should try, I’d love to hear it!
